Grand Junction, CO (September 4, 2018) – Tour de Rock returns to Main Street for the 2nd Annual year this Thursday, September 6. This event, a collaboration between Downtown Grand Junction and Colorado Mesa University, brings a night of bikes, brews, costumes, and live entertainment to the community for the ultimate ‘Street Party’.
Modeled after the popular ‘Tour de Fat’, Grand Junction’s spin on this event encourages families, community members, and students from CMU to ride their bikes downtown and enjoy local beer and music.
“We’re looking forward to continuing this event and partnership with Colorado Mesa University each year,” Caitlyn Love, Marketing + Communications Specialist for Downtown Grand Junction stated. “This is a true community event and puts a large emphasis on local entertainment, local beer, and the local culture of getting outside and riding bikes”.
The beer garden, brought to you by Rockslide Brewery, begins at 5:30pm and will be open for the Fairway Independent Mortgage Downtown Farmers Market, and continues into Tour de Rock. Attendees are able to stroll the Farmers Market with a beer in hand (from 3rd to 7th on Main) and shop for produce, arts & crafts, and enjoy Union of None, a local band that will play for the duration of the market until Tour de Rock begins.
Wristbands, tickets, and the beer garden can be found at The Buffalo at 4th and Main.
Tour de Rock begins this Thursday at 8pm on 4th and Main immediately after the Farmers Market and promises to pack a punch for live entertainment, featuring local favorites Wave 11 and Zolopht.
