FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Grand Junction Off-Road + Four Peaks Downtown Music Festival Kicks Off on Friday
May 19 – 21, 2017 the Grand Junction Off – Road + Four Peaks Downtown Music Festival joins forces again for the third year with three days of free music, mountain bike race, a four block beer garden, Klunker crit and lots of fun. The festival features a bike and gear expo plus a fun expo down the center of Main Street.
Friday, the 19th, local favorite Zolopht will be playing on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Zolopht has an entirely unique sound that is as catchy as it is progressive. Saturday, the 20th, at noon, Colorado’s Governor Hickenlooper will be in Grand Junction to celebrate the Inaugural Colorado Public Lands day on the main stage at 4th and Main Street. Afterwards, the Doubious Brothers will kick off Saturday’s music. The much anticipated The Infamous Stringdusters will headline Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. The Stringdusters are the very model of a major modern day bluegrass band. Since 2007 they have skyrocketed to one of the most well-known and creative bluegrass bands around.
A full schedule of music fills out the weekend with high school and CMU jazz bands finishing up the festival on Sunday morning.
Downtown’s largest festival of the year is certain not to disappoint, with something for everybody. From downtown restaurants and businesses who will be open late, to the multiple races going on during the weekend, to face panting for the kids, there is a lot to see, eat, drink, and do.
