For Immediate Release:
Downtown Grand Junction introduces new Event Coordinator
January 11, 2017, Grand Junction, Colorado
Downtown Grand Junction is pleased to introduce our new event coordinator, Caitlyn Love. Caitlyn was selected out of 75 applicants for her enthusiastic spirit, event coordination experience, and organizational skills. She is a CMU graduate with event coordination experience. Most recently she was a marketing manager for a busy doctors office and is a free-lance wedding photographer in her spare time. She is very excited to be working in her dream job at Downtown. Caitlyn will be working out of the office part-time and will be taking over all aspects of event management.
The addition of Caitlyn comes after a series of changes in the Downtown DDA/BID office in 2016. In October Brandon Stam joined the small team as the DDA Executive Director. Robin Brown resigned from her position of Event Management Director/Co-Director of the Business Improvement District in October to pursue her PR Business, Brownhouse Public Relations. Around the same time, the BID Board voted to move Allison Blevins from Co-Director of the Business Improvement District to Executive Director of the organization.
Allison Blevins says, “We are excited to not only add Caitlyn to our Downtown team but also to have a full staff in the office for the first time in over a year. Having directors over both the BID and DDA as well as an event coordinator and full time Administrative Assistant puts us in a wonderful position to fulfill our goals for 2017. The community should look forward to many good things from Downtown in the coming year.”
