The Parade of Lights is the biggest parade of the year! Thousands line Main Street as more than 100 lighted entries enchant viewers. Get in the holiday spirit and enjoy our beautiful Downtown. Be sure to also check out the shop windows of our wonderful Downtown businesses! In 2015 the parade was awarded “Best of the West for Family Events” by the Daily Sentinel.
Note on Parking: On November 19, 2014, City Council approved a ban on parking on Main Street during the Parade of Lights. This is primarily in the interest of safety, though visibility on the parade route and a reduction of exhaust fumes will also be improved. Parking will not be allowed along the parade route as of 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 1. Any vehicles remaining along the parade route will be towed to a lot a few blocks away, where they can be retrieved at no cost to the owner. Please park on a side street or in the parking garage at 4th and Rood and walk over to enjoy the festivities!

Downtown Grand Junction is moving forward with all events as planned unless directed otherwise by guidelines and restrictions set forth by the State of Colorado and/or Mesa County Public Health. Our primary goal is to keep our community safe and healthy, so Downtown GJ will be implementing safety and social distancing measures at our events.
