If you’ve ever dreamed of watching elite collegiate cycling while drinking a locally crafted beer then you are in luck!

The Mav Classic Bike Race is back with a new feature – a beer festival and outdoor vendor fair! Hosted by Colorado Mesa University Cycling and the Greater Grand Junction Sports Commission, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Head downtown on Saturday, March 26 to watch the race and enjoy beer from local Grand Valley breweries.

Races run 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and the beer festival will be open from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Participating breweries include Copper Club, Rockslide, Monumental, Foam and Folly, Gemini, Palisade, Kannah, Stoik, Snow Capped, Ramblebine, Suds Brothers, Talbots, and Trail Life, a new brewery opening soon in Downtown Grand Junction!

The beer festival will be located in the public parking lot on Colorado Avenue, perfect for watching the bike racing action! Watch racers zoom by and cheer on our local Mav cyclists! After the race head to a downtown restaurant for dinner to cap off an exciting afternoon.

Beer tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the entrance, and give you access to unlimited beer samples. Check the Greater Grand Junction Sports Commission website for ticket information.

If you just want to watch the race there is no charge. Downtown businesses will also be open that day so make sure to stop in and say hello!
