Cuban-American trumpeter ARTURO SANDOVAL, one of the most dynamic and vivacious entertainers of our time, and a protégé of the legendary jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, is a brilliant, multifaceted and renowned musician.
Arturo Sandoval has won 10 Grammy Awards and was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013. He received an Emmy Award for his composing work on the underscore of the HBO movie based on his life, “For Love or Country” starring Andy Garcia as Arturo. He has performed at The Whitehouse and the Super Bowl with Tony Bennett and Patti LaBelle.
Mr Sandoval has recorded 32 albums as a leader, and 36 more in collaboration with other prominent artists. He is a composer, arranger and conductor with multiple film credits, a ballet score, and performances with symphonies here and in Europe. He’s a six time Billboard Award winner and received the 2015 Hispanic Heritage Award.
