Come by CRYSTAL Books and Gifts to attend their Off The Shelf Author Series on Thursday evenings throughout the summer during the Downtown Farmers Market. It is a free event that is open to the public and is a great opportunity to meet local authors while enjoying informative and entertaining presentations by them.

On Thursday, September 13th., from 6pm to 7pm, the store will be hosting two popular local Authors, Jan Weeks and Frank Daniels.

Jan Weeks will be will be talking about, “Dont wait for inspiration to strike: If you are a writer or want to be, you cant wait for the muse to drop the next Great American Novel on you.” Jan Weeks will motivate you to move that brilliant idea from mind to page and into readers hands. If you need a nudge, this talk may move you from thought to action.
Jan Weeks is an award-winning freelance writer, journalist, editor, and proofreader. She teaches classes at Colorado Mesa Universitys Tilman Bishop Center that include Creative Writing, Evil Editor Tells All, How to Submit Your Manuscript, and How to Write for Magazines. She belongs to The Authors Guild, Western Colorado Writers Forum, and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and facilitates the Colorado West Writers Workshop.
Frank Daniels, aka Paco Cerulean will discuss the process of writing a novel based on a true story and his motivation for writing a book delving into the counter-culture of the late sixties and early seventies.
Paco Cerulean has lived in Western Colorado for more than thirty-five years. His higher education includes the study of English, Creative Writing, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, Zen Macrobiotics, and Law. Hes lived in Colorado since The Summer of Love (1967). Road to Paradise is his 5th published book and his first novel.
