Come by CRYSTAL Books and Gifts, during this year’s weekly “Off The Shelf Author Series” on Thursday evenings during the Downtown Farmer’s Market. It is free to the public and is a great opportunity to meet local authors while enjoying informative and entertaining presentations by them.

On Thursday, July 26th, from 6pm to 7pm, drop in and meet a fascinating author, John Records. John has written Love in Action, and his mission is to change the world. His goal is to distribute one million copies, including free digital media.

This book is John’s response to the hatred and suffering in our world. It is designed to help you bring more love into the world through relationships with family and friends, in the workplace, and as a volunteer.
The lessons in Love in Action will help you to stay strong whatever comes your way, and to offer your love in action more and more to heal the world and yourself.
John will read aloud from Love in Action, and invite audience discussion of questions such as “what is love?” and “are you worthy of love?” He also will share the simple and powerful spiritual practice of offering your entire being to love, and gradually being transformed into a vehicle for love’s expression.
John’s life work is supporting people in their growth and transformation. As the Executive Director of COTS (Committee on the Shelterless, in the Bay Area) for over 20 years, John helped thousands in not only finding homes, but also in developing the foundation to live full, rich, and loving lives. As Chaplain at Hopewest Hospice, John assisted people in their graceful and loving transition beyond their physical form. John continues to volunteer with hospice, and to support individuals and groups in their growth through coaching, consulting and classes. John received a BA from Cornell University, and JD from NYU School of Law. He is married and has two grown children.
