Come by and meet noted poet and author, L. Luis Lopez, author of Andromeda to Vulpecula, 88 Constellation Poems, Musings of a Barrio Sack Boy, A Painting of Sand and Each Month I Sing. Luis will talk about his beginning interests in astronomy, especially the layout of the constellations and the stories they tell. He will discuss the difficulty he had in making choices about what to include in each of the poems. Joining Luis will be Sally Crum, archeologist and author of Race to the Moonrise, Race to the River and People of the Red Earth. Sally will discuss the region’s original inhabitants’ culture – from prehistoric mammoth hunters to the historic Ute Tribes.
