OFF THE SHELF – August 9, 2018

CRYSTAL Books & Gifts   4

Come by CRYSTAL Books and Gifts to attend their Off The Shelf Author Series on Thursday evenings throughout the summer during the Downtown Farmers Market. It is a free event that is open to the public and is a great opportunity to meet local authors while enjoying informative and entertaining presentations by them.

On Thursday, August 9th, from 6pm to 7pm, the store will be hosting two well-known prolific local Authors, Judith Blevins and Carroll Multz.  The C0-Author’s Presentation will be The Childhood Legends Series®. – Its genesis, evolution and educational value. Why the young adult series is more popular than our adult novels. The Authors will also be talking about their new recent releases and pending releases.

Judith Blevins whole professional life has been centered in and around the courts and the criminal justice system. Her experience in having been a court clerk and having served under five consecutive district attorneys in Grand Junction, Colorado, has provided the fodder for her novels. She has had a daily dose of mystery, intrigue and courtroom drama over the years and her novels share all with her readers. In addition to the novels in The Childhood Legends Series®, she has authored or co-authored eleven adult novels.

Carroll Multz, a trial lawyer for over forty years, a former two-term district attorney, assistant attorney general, and judge, has been involved in cases ranging from municipal courts to and including the United States Supreme Court. His high-profile cases have been reported in the New York Times, Redbook Magazine and various police magazines. He was one of the attorneys in the Columbine Copycat Case that occurred in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2001 that was featured by Barbara Walters on ABCs 20/20. He recently retired as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he taught law-related courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels for twenty-eight years. In addition to the novels in The Childhood Legends Series®, he has authored or co-authored thirteen adult novels and seven books of non-fiction.
