OFF THE SHELF – August 24, 2017

CRYSTAL Books & Gifts   439 Main Street, 81501
Come by CRYSTAL Books and Gifts for another weekly Off The Shelf Author Series on Thursday evenings during the Downtown Farmers Market. It is free to the public and is a great opportunity to meet local authors while enjoying informative and entertaining presentations by them.

On Thursday, August 24th, from 6pm to 7pm, meet local authors, Denae Christine and Terry Pickens.

Author Denae Christine will be discussing, reading and signing copies of her newly released book, Rebel Deception. Denae has authored three other books: Royal Deception, Runaway Deception, Risky Perception. Denae Christine loves Jesus, kids, books, ice cream, and dragons. She teaches math at R-5 High School and has published four books. Her favorite genre to read and write is young adult fantasy.
Author Terry Pickens will discuss how people are often intimidated by the writing process. We all have stories and if we don’t tell them, who will?  Terry will discuss how stories may include personal stories as well as fiction.
Terry is a retired director of Mesa County Libraries. She enjoys outdoor activities, family, and friends, all of which she writes about with humor and heart. Theres a Lot I Forgot About Babies is her first book and it is based on her newspaper column, The Grammy Diaries.
