The 7th Annual Downtown Art Festival, celebrating the Downtown Grand Junction Creative District, brought to you by Alpine Bank will be happening October 7th, 8th, and 9th!
First Friday- October 7, 2022
The Festival will kick-off on Friday, October 7th in our galleries, shops, and select restaurants Downtown during First Friday. In an effort to unify GJ’s First Friday Art Walk and promote Art Fest, The Art Center and GJ Creates have teamed up with many downtown galleries for a passport program! All participating galleries will be listed on a passport for community members to pick up at The Art Center. Members will collect stamps from each participating gallery, and bring their completed passports to Ramblebine Brewing for a discount on beer.
Female Filmmaker Friday will be screening from 6-8 p.m. at the Aesthetic Collective Gallery, 501 Main Street Suite B, in Downtown Grand Junction. This screening is free and open to the public. Grand Junction Film Festival has partnered with the Junktown Cinema Club, a Grand Valley-based arts organization dedicated to using cinema to build a more compassionate, resilient, and imaginative local community. The feature presentation will be Final Girl*, a horror film directed by Syd Smith, a recent Colorado Mesa University graduate. Two short films will play before Final Girl. *Final Girl contains strong language and scenes of violence. It is recommended for mature audiences.
