The Colorado Mesa University Art Department presents Cryptic Void, the second of three exhibits featuring artwork from seniors graduating from the BFA Studio Art program, in the downtown art gallery from April 3-18.

Cryptic Void will showcase the artwork of Matthew Farrell, Vallerie Kunz, and Candace Marolf, and will encompass a variety of mediums including printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media.

As part of their “Senior Seminar & Portfolio” course, students coordinate the senior exhibits as preparation for future professional careers in visual arts. Assistant Professor Heather Patterson McCulloch guides the students through the process of budgeting, publicity, finding sponsors, and exhibit installation.

The Colorado Mesa University Art Gallery is located at 437 Colorado Avenue in Grand Junction, CO. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 12-5PM and admission is free. On Friday, April 3 there will be a public reception from 6-10PM to view the exhibit and meet the artists, with food provided by Rockslide Brewery.
