Colorado Book Award Finalists Reading

Please join Mesa County Libraries at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Central Library for an evening of readings and signings by several Western Slope authors whose books were selected as finalists in this year’s Colorado Book Awards.

The Colorado Book Awards is an annual event that celebrates the accomplishments of outstanding authors, editors, illustrators, and photographers. This year, for the first time, six Western Slope authors are finalists.

 ● Anthony F. Prinster and Kate Ruland-Thorne, authors of “The History of City Market: The Brothers Four and the Colorado Back Slope Empire” (The History Press)

● Kyle Harvey, author of “Hyacinth” (Lithic Press)

● Jeff Burch, author of “The Peaks of Telluride: Labeled Images and Stories Behind the Names of the Mountains Surrounding Telluride, Colorado” (Jeff Burch)

● Dave Buchanan, author of “Drink It In: Wine Guide of Western Colorado” (Grand Junction Media Inc.)

●Margie Wilson, owner of Grand Valley Books, will read from Charlie Quimby’s “Monument Road.”
