Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Former sentinel at Tomb of the Unknown Solider to speak Nov. 3 at Mesa County Central Library
Colorado resident Tom Tudor, who served at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Washington, D.C., will present “Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the Mesa County Libraries Central Library, Fifth Street and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction.
Tudor will share the history of Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb, as well as his personal story about what is involved in guarding the Tomb.

Tudor served as sentinel and commander of the relief at the Tomb from February 1969 until Memorial Day 1970. He is currently vice president and treasurer of The Society for the Honor Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The presentation is open to the public at no charge. Seating is limited.
