“52 Rivers: A Woman’s Fly-Fishing Journey in the Rockies” is a presentation that tells the story of a woman’s year-long journey fly-fishing one river each week in seven Rocky Mountain states.
The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Mesa County Libraries Central Library, Fifth Street and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction. It is open to the public at no charge.
The presenter is Shelley Walchak, a writer, photographer, and former librarian. Walchak’s “52 Rivers” trip took her to some magnificent spots in the western states and down a personal path to follow her passion. A bonus for her was developing her photography skills and capturing her journey through a photographic essay, which she will share in the presentation.
