Rockslide Raises the Bar
There’s something about Rockslide Brewery and Restaurant that feels like your neighborhood hangout. When you enter the door, the welcoming environment and friendly staff make you feel at home. Whether you’re going in to meet a client for lunch, friends for drinks, or have a date night planned, Rockslide provides a spot that is unique to any other restaurant.
This eatery has been diligently focused on their menu, adding and changing meal items to meet the high volumes of traffic they see walk through their door. On a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night, Rockslide is among the many restaurants Downtown that see heavy traffic. Their food proves why this is the case.
For Downtown Restaurant Week, Rockslide surely created something special. Deep Fried Avocados & Artichoke Hearts served with dill aioli were brought out first. The crisp breading and soft, dense texture of both the avocados and artichokes were a perfect combination.
Rockslide’s Restaurant Week entrees speak for themselves. The Steak Oscar, served with grilled asparagus and cauliflower mash, completed with a cheese sauce on top, was the perfect blend of flavors with very tender steak pieces.
The Cioppino was a lighter, seafood fare. Savory spicy fisherman’s stew with cod, crab, clams, and shrimp, and came complete with their homemade bread – perfect for dipping. This stew certainly ate well and the flavors were exceptional.
Dessert on their Restaurant Week menu changes daily, and Mud Pie was on the docket. This is a must try. With a brownie crust, coffee ice cream, hot fudge, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and the ever-famous Enstroms Toffee sprinkled on top, you will not be disappointed.
Rockslide is continuing to raise the bar with their menu, and are consistently listening to their customers to create the best experience possible. This is an establishment that is a staple to Downtown and with their environment and culinary experience, it’s easy to see why.
