An Evening at il Bistro
The best part of dining Downtown are the unique experiences you inquire at each individual restaurant, and il Bistro Italiano is certainly an experience all on its own. Since 1998, Brunella and her staff have focused on Italian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on Northern Italian dishes. With an ever changing menu, il Bistro rotates dishes and you’re sure to find a new favorite each time you visit.
With Restaurant Week in full swing, I was invited to experience an evening at il Bistro. Sitting at the small table by the front window, it was a beautiful evening for the culinary experience I had.
For the main entree, I decided on the ‘Pollo al Pesto’. This dish was a diced and marinated chicken breast, house made sun dried tomato pesto, house roasted tomatoes, garlic, and white wine cream sauce – served with their gemelli pasta. This meal was plated beautifully, topped with fresh garnish and paired with a house salad.
A classic dessert at il Bistro is their famous Tiramisu. This quintessential Italian dessert features coffee flavored mascarpone cream, airy genoise cake and house made ladyfingers – delicious.
With the environment and hand crafted Italian cuisine that Brunella and her staff provide, this is a local favorite and is certainly an experience that should be had by all. Click here to see their full Restaurant Week Menu.
