The Colorado National Monument is one of Colorado’s most iconic natural wonders, and it lies in Downtown Grand Junction’s backyard. The boards of both the Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Business Improvement District have signed resolutions to support the initiative to elevate the Colorado National Monument to our nation’s 60th National Park.
Congressmen Scott Tipton and Mark Udall from Colorado have introduced a proposal to designate Colorado National Monument as a national park. They are are urging Mesa County residents and businesses to comment on the community recommendations. Please review the proposal in its entirety, and provide feedback directly to Scott Tipton and/or Mark Udall. You can also visit Grand Valley Region Citizens for a National Park for more info!
