Acrylic Painting: Exploring Color

Transparency; Honesty in the works. Which paints are transparent and which are opaque? Does it matter? How thin is thin and why paint thin? When is water a good medium? How fast will it dry? These questions will be answered and many more while we compose a floral painting. We will discuss the application of white paint, and compare using white as a lightening agent vs. transparency as a brightening agent. We will explore how complimentary colors can make your subject “pop”.
