Stranger, Tallman & Lautz Accounting

About Us

Stranger, Tallman & Lautz Accounting formed in 2015 as a merger between Stranger & Lautz Professional Group and Mackley & Tallman Accounting.  For over 30 years, those firms had been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to individuals and businesses. Our expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as IRS and state audits, financial statements, and estate & financial planning.

By combining our expertise and experience with the team mentality of our staff, we make sure that every client receives the careful analysis and attention they deserve. Our dedication to high standards, hiring of seasoned professionals, and work ethics are why our client base returns year after year.

Our goal is to help clients maintain financial viability in the present, while taking a proactive approach to achieving future goals. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients’ needs through research and sound analysis. Stranger, Tallman & Lautz is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism. We have been a staple of Grand Junction’s business community for decades, and pride ourselves on the level of esteem we have earned.

Our dedication to hard work has earned the respect of the business and financial community in and around Grand Junction. We believe this to be a direct derivative of our talent and responsiveness to our client base. Whether you are a current or prospective client, rest assured that individuals and businesses who choose Stranger, Tallman & Lautz Accounting receive competent and timely services.

Going Green

Stranger, Tallman & Lautz Accounting is committed to minimizing the impact our work has on the environment we love so much.  Among other initiatives, we have implemented a paperless filing system (so your data storage not only helps save trees, but is also more secure and continuously backed up!).  We not only recycle paper, cans, and bottles, but also outdated electronics, and we are committed to fostering a culture of “wastelessness” in our office.  Stay tuned for more solutions we plan to implement, including the option to receive only an electronic copy of your tax return!

Community Involvement

The partners and staff at Stranger, Tallman & Lautz Accounting understand the importance of giving back to our community.  That is why we encourage involvement in community organizations.  Our staff are members of and/or volunteer with several diverse organizations in the community, including HopeWestCaprock Academy and Junior Service League.  We are proud to underwrite programming at KAFM Community Radio.  Be sure to tune in to 88.1fm every third Thursday at noon to hear one of our partners, Gina Tallman, host the KAFM Money Tips show!
