Announcing the new combined Grand Junction Off-Road presented by U.S. Bank and Downtown Art + Music Festival, May 29-31, 2015!
Epic Rides and Downtown Grand Junction are joining forces to provide the quintessential Western Colorado experience to visitors and locals alike; featuring bikes, art, music, beer, and wine!
In its third year, the Grand Junction Off-Road p/b U.S. Bank has quickly established itself as a national and international mountain bike event that combines the challenges of the trails of the Lunch Loop trail system as well as the welcoming fun of downtown Grand Junction. Called the most technical endurance race in America, it also offers a spectrum of accessible fun for first time racers, beginners and kids. “This event brings people together from far and wide for fun and adventure on bikes in the Grand Valley” said Dave Grossman, Event Director. “We are really excited about taking the fun even further with more live music, art, and an amazing beer garden.”
The Downtown Grand Junction Art+Music Festival has been a celebration of great art, music, food, and local beer and wine for 27 years. “It’s an ever-evolving local favorite, and moving the date a few weeks later in May will improve our chances for great weather while allowing us to expand the festival with Epic Rides” explained Aaron Hoffman, spokesperson for Downtown Grand Junction.
Other highlights of the weekend include a local-focused Gospel Brunch with amazing music on Sunday morning, multiple stages and musicians, and local, regional, and national artists displaying and selling their works. As with previous Art+Music Festivals, and due to its unique security perimeter, attendees (21+) can stroll 4 blocks of Main Street while enjoying a glass of beer or wine.
“We knew that Epic Rides was looking to move the Grand Junction Off-Road to the spring, around the time that we hosted the Art+Music Festival. We recognized a great deal of shared ground between these two events, and thought they would complement and fill each other out nicely,” stated Aaron Hoffman, spokesperson for Downtown Grand Junction, “It’s been great working with Epic Rides and collaborating on how to bring the best experience to everyone who attends these events.”
