Are there restrictions and guidelines due to COVID-19?
Yes, Downtown GJ is working with Mesa County Public Health to make sure the Car Show meets the requirements for outdoor events with high participant movement. To review the full guidelines from MCPH, click here.
Where will the Car Show take place?
The Downtown Car Show will take place in the parking lot at the Grand Junction Convention Center located at 1st Street and Colorado Avenue to best accommodate the guidelines from MCPH.
Why is the Car Show limited to 80 cars?
Outdoor events are required to run at 50% capacity and implement social distancing measures. The GJ Convention Center lot allows us to meet the requirements while maximizing the number of cars we’re allowed to show.
How do I register my car?
Registration will be open beginning August 12 at 12:00pm. Click here to register!
How do I register as a spectator to attend the event?
Spectator registration is required by MCPH to help with contact tracing. Downtown GJ will be putting out more information on how to register for the event as a spectator soon!
Am I required to wear a mask?
All vehicle owners, sponsors, and event personnel are required to wear masks at the event during any interactions. Masks can be temporarily removed if and when spectators are not nearby and social distancing is taking place. Spectators are strongly encouraged to wear masks while at the event and are required to wear them any time social distancing cannot occur.
When will Car Show check-in take place?
Check-in will take place in the lobby at the Fairfield on Friday, September 11 from 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday, September 12 from 6:00am-9:00am.
Are dogs or other pets allowed?
No, dogs and other pets are not allowed at any Downtown event due to health and safety concerns. Service animals are permissible.
